Hey, Mama!
Time and time again we whip out our phones, frantically searching for the camera app (which is always in a new location if your phone is anything like mine ... thanks, children!) and try to snap a photo of your littles doing something so cute. Then when you tap your camera roll to pull up the sweet little image you just so happened to manage to capture ... it's out of focus. Or you have a limb in motion that ruins the rest of image. Or, maybe you were lucky enough to capture your children mid-blink and they appear to be absolutely possessed. I've been there, Mama! I am still there often enough, but I have put together a mini "Mom-Tographer" training that will give you so many tools to take wall-worthy shots of your kiddos in everyday situations and I am SO EXCITED to share!
The fact is, is that we as Mama's love to look at our children's sweet little faces in print. Photos map out the various stages of their chubby little cheeks growing into big, bright smiles full of teeth. We want to see them! And to be honest, while scheduling Family Photos is a great way to capture beautiful images to hang in your hallway, there is something so magical about the everyday. Just, life. And, guess what?! You don't need to be an expert to capture GREAT photos of your kids.
In no way am I saying NOT to schedule those special family photo sessions (laughing). You should definitely still do that. Especially because you will be featured in them, too! What I am really talking about is grabbing that super silly face your kiddo makes when the sprinkler sprays them in the face. Or the way their nose crinkles up while they giggle at the sight of flour spilling all over the floor when you are baking cookies together. Or the look of absolute perfection as their tiny little lips pucker up to give you a kiss. Maybe you want to frame the way your sweet little bundle of joy looks so content while snuggled up in their bed after a long night of waking you up to lay with them, or the way they beam with pride at completion of a really difficult task. All of that is what happens in the everyday, which is something SO DIFFERENT than what happens at a scheduled family photo session. See what I'm saying here?
I can help you become more confident with your camera.
Whether you are using a DSLR, a point and shoot, or your smartphone camera - you CAN learn some tools to take better images that you will want to have printed to display on your walls or even share with your family and friends. Photography can be a great way to exercise your creativity and with a little help and direction, you can snap some amazing images of your family!
Mama, I know you are busy. I know what goes into learning a new skill ... time ... energy ... THOUGHT. And for Heaven's sake, we do not have any of those to spare, am I right?! My plan is to make this class FUN for you and your kiddos! Bring them with you to our individualized Coaching Session or a group-based model and bring some of your Mom-Friends and their little crazies, too! And the sweetest part? You get to KEEP and use every single image we capture. And trust me ... there will be A LOT of images we capture! Plus, we will have lots of fun. Even the most un-cooperative little cutie won't be able to keep a smile hidden.
